Kourtni is an enthusiastic Financial Literacy Consultant with a passion for empowering individuals to make informed and strategic financial decisions. She has called metro-Atlanta home since 1989. Kourtni graduated from Hampton University in 2010, receiving her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. She currently serves as a Nurse Case Manager at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta dedicating her time to children with cancer diagnoses.
In addition to her Nursing and healthcare background, Kourtni created Financial Freedom Services in 2017, as she has always had a natural knack and fervor for financial literacy and credit wellness. She is passionate about spreading this same knowledge with everyone she meets.
A few of her financial milestones include purchasing her first property in 2013, at just 24 years of age, by investing only $2,600 after researching down payment assistance programs. The property has since grown in excess of 160K in value. As a result of this investment, she was able to use a small amount of equity from that home to purchase her primary residence which has also risen in value over 150K. The first property has since converted to a rental property that serves as a cash flowing asset. Kourtni has also been able to overcome the contraint of student loans by diligently paying off that debt, and getting a large portion forgiven through federal programs. As a result of her wise financial planning and choices, she has been able to achieve excellent credit worthiness achieving beyond an 800 score.
